Giant Torii in Road

Giant Torii in Road

This is the entrance to Iga Hachimangu, which Ive posted several photos of. Go look at all of them. Pretty big torii gate, huh? Yeah, its a parking lot right in front of and under the torii. Some religious people may object and say it is insulting to use this entrance to a holy place as a parking lot, but it reflects a reality of modern Japan: there just isnt very much land, so they use all the space available to pack in as much as they can.

I think this scene shows the interesting mix of old and new that youll find in Japan. Its a pretty typical street here. Anything jump out at you (besides the giant torii gate)?
