The Fishing Port of Semporna - A buzz of activities and sight.... colourful fishing boats, fishermen fixing nets, , selling fish, smelling fishy ....


Semporna town - gateway to the wonderful Islands in the Sulawesi Sea... Pulau Mataking , Pandanan Islands, Sipadan and the Tun Sakaran Marine Park. Much had changed here - proper roads, more buildings etc.
10 years ago when I last pit-stop here for some diving in Sipadan Island, this place reminded me of a cowboy town - consisting of a dodgy port, 2 main rows of shop lots, a bank with metal grills and muddy roads. Due to the growth of popularity in Scuba diving, Semporna has developed tremendously.
